Fast & Furious 10 becomes the most expensive movie ever made
The Fast & Furious movie franchise has been on the screen for more than two decades, and the budgets of new films are only growing. According to insider information from TheWrap, the budget for Fast and Furious 10 has grown out of control and approached a fantastic $340 million. So the tenth part can already be considered one of the most expensive films in history.
The cost of the previous film, by the way, was an order of magnitude less – $ 200 million. There are many reasons for the inflated budget. This is a stellar cast, demanding more and more fees, and additional spending on precautions from COVID-19, and banal inflation.
If the insider is confirmed, “Fast and the Furious 10” will be in fourth place in the list of the most expensive paintings. Big budgets can boast only:
- Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides – $379 million
- Avengers: Age of Ultron – $365 million
- Avengers: Endgame – $356 million
How the film will turn out in the end and whether investments will be beaten off, we will find out only in the spring of next year. Fast & Furious 10 is set to release on May 19, 2023.
