The upcoming sub-flagship Realme GT Neo 5 keeps fewer and fewer secrets. We already wrote about a major smartphone design leak , it’s time to find out its characteristics!

What will Realme GT Neo 5 offer? According to the Digital Chat Station insider, the device will be equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2772 × 1240 pixels, that is, 1.5K. The refresh rate will be 144 Hz, there will be a fingerprint scanner under the screen, as well as a miniature hole for a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The rear chamber should be triple, although framed by two large circles. It is known that the main module will be a Sony IMX890 matrix with a resolution of 50 MP, equipped with an optical stabilization lens, f / 1.79 aperture and an equivalent focal length of 25 mm.

The other two modules will probably be responsible for wide-angle photos and macro (or blurring the background). Their resolution is known – 8 and 2 MP.

The heart of the smartphone will be the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, which will be accompanied by fast LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 memory. But most of all, Realme GT Neo 5 will surprise you with its charging speed. There will be two versions of the smartphone. The first with a 5000 mAh battery and 150 W charging, and the second with a smaller 4600 mAh battery, but with 240 W reactive charging! The Chinese have provided several levels of protection, including protection against overheating, short circuits and voltage surges. They already showed off a concept with 240-watt charging at MWC 2022, then a device with a 4500 mAh battery was charged from 0 to 100% in 9 minutes. So here you can count on 10-11 minutes of a full cycle.

All of this will be packaged in a case with stereo speakers. The side frame of the GT Neo 5 is made of plastic, but the back will remain glass. The lack of moisture protection, wireless charging and a microSD slot will be compromises to maintain an affordable price for the model. Recall that the previous generation GT Neo 3 cost $362 in China.

There is no official release date for Realme GT Neo 5 yet, but insiders are talking about the premiere in March 2023.
