A dangerous charging mistake that many smartphone owners repeat
Gone are the days when we needed to charge our phone battery once a week. With the development of technology, smartphones have replaced the computer, so it is natural that intensive use affects battery life, and devices have to be charged almost every day.
Tech experts say the biggest risk of damaging a smartphone’s battery is the combination of charging and gaming, which some owners do on a regular basis. Firstly, when charging the device and playing at the same time, the battery inside heats up much more than usual. Moreover, it also slows down the charging speed, which stretches the negative process in time.
Well-known smartphone manufacturers have repeatedly warned that although modern batteries and chargers are relatively safe, active use while charging shortens the life of the device. Parallel heating of the processor and battery increases the internal temperature of the entire “stuffing”, and prolonged use in this state can damage electronic components.
It is for these reasons that we recommend leaving a charging smartphone alone and letting it charge. Of course, if there is a need to use the device, this can be done, but for a limited period of time, and not play games for an hour and a half, during the entire charging cycle.
To ensure safety, you should also choose the right charger and avoid cheap alternatives to original units or models from trusted manufacturers. It is also worth noting that it is not recommended to talk on the phone while charging. Photos and videos periodically pop up on the network with smartphones that light up or explode due to power surges or a banal factory defect. This rarely happens, but it’s better to play it safe and just unplug the device from the outlet for a couple of minutes of talking.
